In 2017, FSD Africa partnered with the East African Venture Capital Association (EAVCA) and FMO, the Dutch Development Bank, to conduct research on trends in the fintech space in East Africa. The research was conducted by an independent research institution, and provided an understanding of the landscape and investment opportunities in fintech.
In partnership with EAVCA and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), FSD Africa is currently working on the development of a private equity investment guide for East African pension funds. Through the guide, this initiative aims to create awareness of private equity as an eligible asset for investment by local funds in East Africa.
