CGAP has posted a request for Expression of Interest around a piece of demand-side research in our new project on Strengthening Climate Resilience and Adaptation through Financial Services. CGAP believes that financial services are one valuable tool in helping vulnerable people, especially women, to manage the risks associated with climate change, and would like to better understand how that tool is being used as well as how it can be rendered more effective.
In partnership with FSD Africa who is co-funding the research, CGAP is looking for a firm to conduct qualitative and small-scale quantitative research with vulnerable people and communities in Nigeria and 1-2 other countries on what challenges they face due to climate change, which strategies they use for resilience and adaptation, what role financial services play in those strategies, and how that role could be made more effective.
All interested vendors should submit a short expression in English electronically through the World Bank Group’s eConsultant2 (https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html) under Selection # 1280353.
The Deadline for EOI is April 25, 2022.
