We are looking to hire for the position of Assistant Director – Credit Policy, Regulation and Infrastructure that will focus on improving the enabling environment for credit. This involves leading research, analysis and thinking around ecosystem development.

The Assistant Director will assume responsibility for an existing portfolio of impactful intervention projects and will require an individual with a strong understanding of credit market systems in sub-Saharan Africa, and a demonstrated track record of rigorous project management skills and achievement of results. S/he will hold a good quality bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in a relevant field (relevant post-graduate qualifications are an advantage) and will have at least 10-15 years of experience, rising to a senior management level, working in the credit market (FSP, regulator or policy advocate).

The role will be housed within the Credit Markets pillar and will report directly to the Director, Credit Markets. The Credit Markets pillar addresses the profound problems that result in credit market dysfunction in Africa which constrains business investment (and therefore job creation) and contributes to over-indebtedness at individual and household levels.

Applications are welcome until the deadline of 04 December 2020.
