Seeking Innovative Solutions to Credit Risk Assessment of Rural and Agricultural Borrowers

FSD Africa (“FSDA”) is inviting Expressions of Interest from developers, suppliers and financial service providers for innovative credit risk assessment or digital data tools that, through their application, will help to increase access of financial services to smallholder farmers, thereby increasing financial inclusion amongst this significant rural market (the “EOI”). EOIs should clearly communicate a sustainable business concept or existing approach that addresses key challenges of lending to smallholder farmers, through the use of innovative tools.

FSDA will accept EOIs that demonstrate business solutions at varying stages: concept stage; pilot stage, and; scaling/implementation stage. However, it is critical that, irrespective of stage, all solutions proposed have a clear implementation plan with one or more interested financial service provider. If successful in our shortlisting process, your organization will be invited to put forward a full proposal.

Your EOI, which should not exceed 5 sides of A4 (font size 11), excluding CVs, company brochures etc., should be sent to FSDA at by noon (EAT) 5 August 2016.

For more information, refer to the attached full detailed EOI.
